Linen is one of our favorite fabrics.
It's breathable, durable and effortless. To make sure your linen garments lasts over time, it should be washed at no more than 30°C and not tumble-dried. You may gently stretch and reshape the linen garment when it is damp. To avoid wrinkles, linen garments should be hung. Use a cool iron in case of wrinkles. The texture will get rather stiff after washing. However, the material will soften up again when used.
1. Wash at no more than 30°C: Linen is a delicate fabric, so it's best to wash it in cool water to prevent shrinkage and damage to the fibers.
2. Use a gentle detergent: Choose a mild detergent that's specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener, as these can damage the fabric.
3. Hang dry: Linen is prone to wrinkling, but you can prevent this by hanging your garments to dry. Avoid using the dryer, as this can cause shrinkage and damage to the fibers.
4. Use a cool iron: If your linen garment does become wrinkled, iron it on a medium setting while it's still slightly damp. This will help to smooth out any wrinkles without damaging the fabric.
5. Pre-treat tough stains: If your linen garment gets stained, pre-treat the stain with a stain remover before washing it. Be sure to follow the instructions on the stain remover carefully.
Tencel is naturally odor resistant.
There is no need to wash this shirt after every wear. Because Tencel has better moisture management than cotton and it is more resistant to odors.
But if you need to wash it, you can follow the instructions below.
1. Do not overload your washing machine. Heavy loads cause friction which wears clothes out faster and may also result in the garments staying dirty.
2. Turn your garment inside out. We advise you to put it in a wash bag to avoid damage.
3. Wash with similar colors.
4. We recommend using wool detergent since it is less aggressive, and your clothes will look better for a longer time.
5. Don't use too much laundry detergent since overdosing won't affect making your clothes cleaner.
6. Do not use fabric softener or bleach. It can damage the color of the shirt.
7. Wash cold at 30°C delicate program, maximum 1400 cycles.
8. Do not tumble dry, only dry by air.
9. Hang your shirt on a hanger or a line.
10. Avoid direct heat or sunlight.
11. Iron at low temperature. Set the iron on the Medium or 2-dot heat setting.
12. Use steam to remove creases. Or you can spray on some water before applying the iron to the garment.
13. Do not use any spray-on starch or softeners.
