About Syomsz
Syomsz is the ready-to-wear label of Malaysian designer Syomir Izwa, making relaxed, unisex clothing in linen and Tencel, designed in Kuala Lumpur.
Born in Kuala Lumpur and designing since the early 2000s, Syomir is also the creative director of Syomirizwa Gupta, his couture and made-to-measure house, dressing brides and well-known Malaysian personalities. Syomsz is where that craft becomes everyday clothing: easy shapes in natural fabrics made for a tropical climate, and a joyful use of colour drawn from Malaysian heritage.
What we make
Nehru-collar shirts, oversized Qamis and Yukata shirts, wide-leg Dhoti and Jodhpur pants, Sulu wrap skirts, Balto kimono wraps and Gabung jumpsuits, plus our "Dah Ready?" Raya pieces: Rasa kurtas, Nona and Sayang kebayas, Iman jubahs, Bujang trousers and Manis sarongs. Fabrics are 100% linen, 100% Tencel, Tencel-cotton blends and our custom pelikat print.
For the home, we collaborate with Rekka on linen and cotton cushion covers and with Kyndnest on cotton canvas beanbags. We also carry Cure.8 natural balms and Komono sunglasses.
What we believe
Fashion can be inclusive and beautiful at once. Most of our clothing is unisex and comes in two relaxed sizes, S/M and L/XL, with measurements on every product page.
